Privacy Policy
Updated on 10 October 2026
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PropertyNaksha collects, uses, shares and keeps personal data, and the choices available to you. "We", "us" and "our" mean PropertyNaksha, run by Amar Pathak, Pehowa, Haryana. "You" means any person who uses the Service. Words defined in our Terms of Use have the same meaning in this policy.
This policy applies to the PropertyNaksha website and app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of personal data as described in this policy.
2. What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google profile photo. We do not receive your Google password.
Information you give us:
- your account type, name, mobile number, profile photo or logo, and description;
- for brokers, your firm name and the location you choose to show on the map;
- your listings and projects, including property details, photos, nakshas, location, price and boundaries;
- plan requests and payment details, such as a payment reference or a screenshot of your payment;
- reports, appeals and messages you send us.
Information collected when you use the Service:
- the properties and sellers you save, and your preferences;
- records of when you contact a seller;
- your notification settings;
- your device, browser and connection details, including your IP address, and records of your activity on the Service.
We use your device’s location only when you choose “Use my location” to place a property or your broker location on the map, and only for that purpose.
3. How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- provide and operate the Service, display listings and allow buyers to contact sellers;
- review listings against our Terms;
- manage plans and payments;
- keep the Service and its users safe, and detect and prevent fraud and misuse;
- communicate with you about your account;
- comply with our legal obligations;
- maintain and improve the Service.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share personal data with anyone for their own advertising.
4. What other people can see
The following information is public: your account name, photo or logo, description and account type, and your listings, including their photos, price and location as described in our Terms. For a broker, the location they choose and the day they were last active are also public. Public pages may appear in search engines such as Google.
Your mobile number is never displayed on a listing. It is shown only to a signed-in user who chooses to call you about a listing or, if you are a broker, from your profile. When you call a seller, the call is made from your own phone, and the seller sees your number as with any call.
The location of a free listing is shown as an approximate area, as described in our Terms.
Some information, such as your recent searches, is stored on your device and not on our servers.
We do not tell a seller who reported their listing.
5. Who we share personal data with
We share personal data only:
- with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, storage, maps, sign-in, safety checks, notifications and payments, only for that purpose;
- with another user, when a buyer chooses to call a seller;
- with the police, courts or government authorities, where the law requires;
- with our professional advisers and auditors, and with persons assessing an investment in or acquisition of the Service, under a duty of confidentiality and only to the extent they need;
- if all or part of the Service is sold, merged or transferred, with the new owner, who must continue to use personal data in accordance with this policy.
We may share statistics about the Service, such as the number of users, listings and calls, that do not identify any person.
6. Where personal data is stored
Account details and listings are stored in India. Photos are stored with our storage provider in the Asia-Pacific region. Some service providers may also process personal data outside India. All such storage and processing is carried out in accordance with Indian law.
7. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data for as long as your account is open. Your listings remain with your account until you delete them.
When you delete your account, it is hidden immediately and erased after 30 days. After that, we keep only:
- information needed to prevent misuse and to meet our legal obligations, for as long as the law allows;
- records of consents, reports and payments, for as long as the law requires;
- records of activity on the Service, for as long as the law requires;
- content removed for breaching our Terms, and its records, for as long as the law requires or a legal claim needs.
We may keep details of listings, such as property type, size, area and price, after removing anything that identifies you, including after a listing or account is deleted. We use this information to build features such as price estimates for an area, and market reports, which we may share or sell. We publish or share this information only when combined across several listings, never for a single property. It does not identify you.
Copies in our backups are deleted within 60 days.
8. How we protect personal data
We take reasonable security measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, restricted access, encrypted backups and the removal of location data from photos. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you as the law requires.
9. Your choices
- You may view and update your profile and listings in the app at any time.
- You may delete a listing, or delete your account from Profile, then Settings.
- You may turn off notifications in your device settings.
- You may ask our Grievance Officer for a summary of your personal data, or for it to be corrected.
You may withdraw your consent by deleting your account. We may continue to keep the records described in section 7 where the law requires.
10. Cookies
We use only the cookies the Service needs to keep you signed in, to protect your account and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Google services we use, such as Google Maps, may set their own cookies, under Google’s Privacy Policy.
11. Children
The Service is intended for persons aged 18 and over. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account, we will close that account.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. Where a change is significant, we will inform you in the app. If you continue to use the Service after a change, you accept the updated policy.
